During the course of an architectural or design project with Sands Creek, it may become necessary or desirable to alter the original scope of work outlined in the Project Agreement. This page explains our process for handling changes to the project scope.

1. What Constitutes a Change of Scope?

A change of scope refers to any modification, addition, or deletion to the originally agreed-upon services, deliverables, or project parameters as defined in the signed Project Agreement. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Adding new design elements or areas.

• Significant alterations to the design direction or requirements.

• Changes in project scale or complexity.

• Requests for additional services not included in the original scope.

2. Client-Initiated Changes

If the Client wishes to request a change of scope, they must do so in writing, clearly outlining the proposed modifications. Upon receipt of a change request, Sands Creek will assess the impact of the proposed changes on the project timeline, fees, and deliverables.

3. Sands Creek's Response

Once we have evaluated the requested changes, Sands Creek will provide the Client with a written proposal detailing the revised scope of work, any adjustments to the project schedule, and the associated additional fees, if applicable.

4. Fee for Change of Scope Quote

Please note that once the initial Project Agreement has been drafted, there is a $200.00 fee for Sands Creek to prepare a quotation for any Client-initiated change of scope. This fee covers the time and resources required to analyze the requested changes and develop a detailed proposal. This fee will be invoiced upon your request for a change of scope quote.

5. Approval of Change of Scope

No changes to the scope of work will be implemented until both Sands Creek and the Client have executed a written amendment to the original Project Agreement that clearly outlines the revised scope, schedule adjustments, and any changes in fees.
